Summary: One of my favorites of all-time!
Comment: I revisited this album today after not listening to it for some time and was reminded of why Fear is in my top 10 favorites of all-time. It is one of the most beautiful I've ever heard lyrically and musically. This album has poetically haunting songs not a one of which is less than excellent.

Summary: Toad's Finest
Comment: This was the first CD I ever bought (my parents were slow to come around the compact disc when I was growing up). If I had never bought another, this album would have been enough. To this day, nothing I have ever heard matches the ethereal feeling of "Butterflies," and I can't name another album that flows so well track-to-track. These are all Toad songs, but more than any other album, the music is written to compliment Glen's voice, from the whispers of "I Will Not Take These Things For Granted" to the growl of "Before You Were Born" (ok, so it's not a growl, did Glen ever really growl?). Whenever someone asks what 5 albums I'd want on a deserted island, this is the first one I think of. Every music fan should own it.

Summary: Still Love Toad
Comment: I don't usually bother with writing reviews, but I feel I owe to the band, as well as to a great many potential listeners who may not be familiar with the group. This was my first Toad album (11 years or so ago), and I've been an avid listener ever since. I enjoy the emotion they can put into the simplest of stories. Makes me feel like I was right there with them. Every song on this album is a journey.
My personal favorite is the "Nightingale Song". Very short, very simple, VERY uplifting. On my worst day, this song always puts the world back into perspective for me. Makes me smile, and what more can one ask for than that?

Summary: Wow
Comment: Just bought this. The two main songs on it, as usual, still great. The rest, even better! Only CD I think I've heard where I've loved ALL songs...and they keep getting better.

Summary: after hair metal craze and before grunge
Comment: Beginning the 90s this group set a new hope in music, unfortunately after two succesful albums the group went into oblivion. This album was its first succesful album (Dulcinea was their second). It is a great buy if you like soft alternative rock, good melodies, and a warm and great voice. If the lost decade of music (the 90s) has any remarkable albums, this is one of them.
